: Language name. This parameter is optional; it defaults to the name output by the template.
: Example: for {{tlx|ISO 639 name de}} the default language name is <code>{{ISO 639 name de}}</code>.

: Language code ([[ISO 639-1]], [[ISO 639-2]], or [[ISO 639-3]]). This parameter is optional; it defaults to last two letters of the template name.
: Example: for {{tlx|ISO 639 name de}} the default language code is <code>{{Str right|ISO 639 name de|13}}</code>.

; dab
: [[Wikipedia:Disambiguation|Disambiguation]] used in name of Wikipedia article for the language. This parameter is optional; there is no default value.
: Example: {{tlx|ISO 639 name lij}} uses {{para|dab|Romance language}} to generate a link to [[Ligurian language (Romance language)]]; without this parameter the link would be [[Help:Disambiguation|Ligurian language]] (a disambiguation page).
