SweepMe! Pro
The main software SweepMe! is free. SweepMe! Pro is a subscription that adds Pro Modules and Pro Features for more complex procedures, automation and setups for operators. More information and quotes are available on the product page.
Free version
The free version includes:
- the Sequencer with one active branch (see below),
- the Basic and Instrument modules, e.g. Loop, MakeFile, Calc, Delay, SMU, Logger and WaferProber with its wafer map,
- the instrument drivers and the Version manager,
- the Dashboard widgets such as Plot and Monitor,
- the Parameter system including the parameter picker,
- saving the measurement data as text files, see Saving data,
- the Command line interface for loading and running sequences.
One active branch
From SweepMe! 1.6.1, measurements in the free version run with a maximum of one active branch in the sequencer. Sequences with several branches can still be loaded, edited and saved. If you start a measurement with more than one checked branch, SweepMe! shows a notice instead. You can run one branch at a time by unchecking the others.
Pro Modules
The following modules require SweepMe! Pro: Condition, ControlWidgets, CustomFunction, Form, ImageProcessing, LoadFiles, MakeFolder, Message, MQTT, PID, PLC, ReadValues, SQL, Sweep, TableValues and UserIO.
Pro Modules can be downloaded in the Version manager and configured in a sequence without a license. A license is needed to run a measurement with them. If several SweepMe! instances on one computer run measurements with Pro Modules at the same time, each measurement needs its own license activation.
Pro Features
Menu items and widgets of Pro Features are marked with "(Pro)". Without a license, SweepMe! shows a notice when you use them.

Not part of SweepMe! Pro: the parameter syntax {...} and the parameter picker of the Parameter system, and the wafer map of the WaferProber module.
SweepMe! Pro Trial
Available from SweepMe! 1.6.1.4.
- When you start SweepMe! on a computer without a SweepMe! Pro license, it automatically requests a free SweepMe! Pro Trial. You might be asked to log in with your SweepMe! account. A message shows when the trial expires.
- During the trial, SweepMe! shows the remaining days at startup.
- When the trial has expired, the dialog Trial Expired asks whether you want to extend it: Extend, Ask again, or Not interested (in the menu of Ask again).
- You can also request a trial via Tools → Version Manager → License → Activate trial, or with the button Get SweepMe! Pro Trial of the notice that appears when you use a Pro Feature. Depending on your account, the trial is activated directly, or the request is forwarded to our support team, who will contact you.
Subscription and lifetime licenses
- SweepMe! Pro is a subscription. SweepMe! informs you when a subscription has expired.
- Lifetime licenses for SweepMe! 1.5 keep working with SweepMe! 1.5 without time limit, but they do not cover SweepMe! 1.6.1. To use Pro Modules and Pro Features with the new version, you need a SweepMe! Pro subscription. Both versions can be installed in parallel. See the Migration guide.
Activation
Licenses are managed in the Version manager (Tools → Version Manager → menu License): Activate key… activates a license key, Overview shows the activated licenses. See Licenses for deactivation and for offline and command line activation.
